Satin Silkiness

“Happiness is the cold side of the pillow”… even better if it’s good for your hair and skin!

How many of you have heard that sleeping on a satin or silk pillowcase is actually good for you? My mother swore by them so thankfully I’ve been sleeping on them my whole life. They are so much of a necessity for me that they are on my bed at home and I ALWAYS travel with one.

Hair

The silkiness of the pillowcase will prevent hair from breaking unlike cotton or other rougher fiber materials which can actual cause the hair to catch and break through out the night. As you toss and turn your hair will glide across the pillowcase and you will wake with less tangles and fly aways. For those with curly or textured hair or you're just trying to prolong a hairstyle between washes this type pillowcase can be a game changer.

Skin

In addition to the cooling factor, a silk pillowcase can actually help hydrate the skin. Once you’ve applied all your nighttime creams and serums, the last thing you want is for them to end up on your pillowcase instead of absorbing into the skin. Cotton and other blends can pull moisture from your skin through out the night, satin and silk will not. They also help prevent those pesky creases in the skin that you can wake with after a night of deep sleep.

Below are a few of my favorites!

Check them out. You’ll be so happy you did!

Sleep well!

XO,

Jamie
